Are you ready to face your fears? Anyone who can knit, and purl can learn how to make beautiful knitted lace by following both written instructions and charted designs. In this class we will cover various decreases, yarn overs and how to follow a pattern. We will start with completely written out instructions and progress to charts. Better yet, learn to correct basic mistakes everyone makes without ripping out and starting over. Students will leave class with a swatch and pattern to work the Tropicana You can view this patter on Ravelry and each student will be given on free pattern in class.
Materials Needed ~ Do it Scared - an Introduction to Knitting Lace from Charts
- Smooth, light colored, worsted weight yarn (small amounts for swatches)
- US #8 needles (any type)
- Locking stitch markers
- Crochet hook, size G
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
